On The 20th July come and find out more about Stepney Bank Stables. The horse related activities based at the stables are well known. Less
appreciated is the unseen work that takes place with disadvantaged children
and young people. We'll hear about both types of activities, see lessons
taking place at the indoor riding arena, meet the horses and see where they
live. This will also allow us to look around the old stables on Stepney
Bank.
36 Lime Street Studios are home to a varied collection of Artists, Craftworkers, Designer/ Makers, Theatre Groups and Musicians/ Recording Studios.
Many of the Studios engage and work in the Community through Schools, Community Centres and Hospitals.Artists and Craftspeople from 36 Lime Street will again be involved in the Ouseburn Festival and are holding free workshops open to Children and families at 36 Lime Street over the Festival weekend.

Fiona Gray ( Designer ) will be making Sundials/Clocks from various materials including Card and Coloured papers.
Tessa Holland ( Jeweller ) will be making " Tanglecreatures " animals and other beasts made from a single strand of electrical wire.
Steve Marshall ( Artist ) will be holding a Puppets and Paper Crafts workshop using a variety of Card, Collage and other materials

Poetry Vandals
Ten by Ten is a regular night of spoken word and poetry at the Cumberland Arms. Over the Festival weekend between 1-30 and 3.00 we are bringing some of their finest wordsmiths down to the Ouseburn village green outside the Cluny. On Saturday afternoon we have Jeff Price, Mandy Maxwell, Jenni Pascoe, James McKay, Jim Doxford and Sky Hawkins. Well for the trio we are Jess, Carly and Georgia and we all sing harmonies and lead vocals as well as all playing acoustic guitar. we sing originals and covers.
And for my solo performance i am an acoustic singer songwriter as well as playing covers..

We are a community choir open to all. We sing in four-part harmony and our repertoire is mainly pop,rock, world and folk music and sometimes a little bit of classical. The audience will recognise our rock and pop songs and perhaps the folk songs too, but the arrangements by our Musiacal Director make them a little different. We hope to have everyone Dancing in the Street .
Universal Martial Arts - Stephen Savage
The children from Universal will be doing a small demo of some of the activities they do in class, high energy kicking and punching drills and performance work. And a couple of adults if the ground is ok doing some forms and tricks and flips. Indian Dance workshops
1.Indian classical dance form-'Kathak' (This means art of story telling characterised by graceful hand movements,spins and rhythmetic footwork).
In the traditional way of the presentation, I am going to present a prayer in the name of Lord Ganesh ( God of wisdom and herbringer of happiness. Most commonly known as 'Elephant God' which symbolises the intelligence,prosperity and happiness.
This composition is Known as 'Ganesh Vandana' in the praise of Lord Ganesh.
2.Bollywood dance-It is a fast and free dancing style characterized by different body movements and hand gestures. This dance form is originally from Mumbai,India.
This style is predominant in Indian bollywood movies loved by all over the world.
The songs usually goes with the storyline of the movie.
I will be performing some of the bollywood songs with the participants.
